The ‘Transitions in Kitchen Living’ team are pleased to talk about their study and findings.  To date they have presented their ideas to older people’s groups, designers, OTs and academics concerned with the person-environment interface.  Over the past 6 months there have been several interesting events including:

At the end of January The Open University was pleased to play host to both KTEqual and the New Dynamics of Ageing who supported a lively day concerning ‘Design for Living in Later Life’, chaired by Rama Gheerawo, Deputy Director or the Helen Hamlyn Centre for Design and Director of the Age and Ability Research Lab, Royal College of Art.

Whereas the most recent event, in April 2013, saw Professor Peace running a CDP workshop on the past, present and future development of the kitchen across the life course for UNISON care workers, OT staff and Housing officials from The Open University's Northern Ireland office in Belfast.
